It was a hard-fought win in the Westfield W-League, as the Newcastle Jets finished 1-0 winners over Canberra United.
The Jets were without internationals Emily van Egmond and Larissa Crummer, while Tara Andrews also missed through injury.
A Cortnee Vine strike would ultimately prove the difference, as the Young Matilda scored a contender for Goal of the Year.
