The Newcastle Jets and the City of Newcastle have taken the joint decision to transfer further matches from No.2 Sportsground to allow a more extensive repair of the playing surface to take place.
Despite the City’s best efforts to repair damaged turf, the pitch will not be ready for the Club’s Westfield W-League fixture with the Brisbane Roar on Thursday 29 November, nor the two Foxtel Y-League matches on 1 and 22 December.

The W-League match has been transferred to McDonald Jones Stadium and the two Y-League matches to Adamstown Oval.
The City of Newcastle have advised the Club that they will now lay new turf in the affected 20 per cent of the total field space, which will be completed by the end of the week.
It’s expected the W-League squad will be able to return to training at the ground from early December and host their next match there against Perth Glory on Saturday 12 January.
