Newcastle Jets have secured the services of Samuel Silvera on loan for the 2021/22 A-League season.
Silvera joins the Jets from top-flight Portuguese club Pacos de Ferreira.
The Australia Under 23s representative is an attacking player most comfortable on the wing.
Jets Manager Arthur Papas said, securing Silvera is another positive step for the Club with his style of play set to compliment the brand of football the team will be playing this season.
“We’re very pleased to have secured Sam for the upcoming season,” Papas said.
“He naturally prefers playing as a right winger but is also comfortable on the left or through the centre and adds a lot of pace and creativity to our attack.”
The 20-year-old made his A-League debut for Central Coast in 2019 and went on to make 21 appearances for the Club.
In 2020 he signed for Pacos de Ferreira and spent the season on loan to Casa Pia Atlético Clube in Liga Portugal 2 and 2021 with A.D. Sanjoanense.
