Football Federation Australia (FFA) advised on Tuesday that all grassroots football below the Hyundai A-League has been suspended for the next four weeks.
The club continues to work with FFA and the Hyundai A-League through what is an unprecedented time, and all parties are prioritising the health and safety of fans, players and staff moving forward.
Please see below for specific information around changes to our Academy, community appearances, Skills Program, and Sporting Schools.
Office
Our offices at Callaghan are closed to external visitors until further notice, with anyone needing to get in contact with Club staff encouraged to do so via email.
The Newcastle Jets will endeavour to update all stakeholders continually as the situation evolves and as information becomes available.
Academy
In line with the FFA directive that all grassroots football has been suspended for the next four weeks, the Newcastle Jets Academy will also suspend its program indefinitely.
Parents and participants will be contacted by Academy staff today to provide further information.

Community appearances, Skills Program, Sporting Schools
As a result of the developing situation and the implementation of social distancing measures by the NSW Department of Education, Newcastle Jets have decided to suspend all school and community programs until further notice.
This includes all Community appearances by members of the playing squad, our Community Skills Program, and Sporting Schools.
The decision has been made to ensure the safety of our participants and staff in an effort to uphold social distancing measures and non-essential gathering advice as required at this point in time.
