Squad: 18 in the mix for Perth

An 18-man squad for Saturday night’s clash with Perth Glory has been named, as we head west in search of a win in order to go into Christmas happy.

Nigel Boogaard will miss out this weekend, with the Club’s medical staff ruling that the trip west would be too much unnecessary strain on his troublesome groin injury.

Ernie Merrick promised changes at the midweek press conference, but just what that entails remains to be seen. The promotion of Jack Simmons to the 18-man squad could see him play a role.

Three that came off the bench on Sunday’s defeat to Melbourne City – Bobby Burns, Pat Langlois, and Matt Ridenton – will be pushing hard to work their way into Saturday night’s starting XI.
