The Jets will travel to Adelaide to face the Reds in Round 5 of the Westfield W-League.
The squad travels to the City of Churches following a tough loss to Canberra United at home in Round 4 – a game which all would agree they had the better of.
Head Coach, Craig Deans said the last start loss was a frustrating one, but was buoyed by the quality of his teams performance.
“The Canberra game on the weekend was a good performance, all bar scoring goals – it makes the loss tough to take,” said Deans.
“We need to make sure we use that as a motivation for next time we find ourselves in that position, because the W-League season is too short to miss out on opportunities like that one.
“We need to improve our decision making and composure, and continue to create the chances that we have been.
“I don’t think there’s many easy games in the W-League to be honest, and we’re expecting another tough one in Adelaide.
“You can’t go into any games expecting to win, you have to be at your best every week.”
The Jets will miss star midfielder, Emily van Egmond, currently on international duty with the Matildas, but Deans is hoping for returns from the injured Tori Huster and Tash Prior.
“Tori has improved since last week, with the week off proved pretty significant for her,” added Deans.
“Tash is also recovering well from her head knock (against Melbourne City) but that’s in the hands of the doctors so we’ll wait and see what happens there.”
