Imagine being in the snow…

Jets W-League youngster Libby Sharpe has shown Swedish imports Sanna Frostevaal and Rebecca Smith a special piece of Australia during their stay.

Libby took her visiting teammates around her home of Port Stephens, the highlight being a dolphin watch on the cruise vessel ‘Imagine-. ‘Imagine- skipper Frank Future gave the girls a detailed run down on local marine life including the Port-s resident dolphins. Had Sanna and Rebecca not been in Australia with the Jets, they would likely have been back in Sweden in minus 20 temperatures undertaking pre-season training, so a leisurely cruise on the warm blue waters of Port Stephens was an attractive alternative to snow and ice.

The girls had the chance to try their hand at playing a didgeridoo on the cruise and had a close encounter with the local dolphin population. ‘It was great,- Smith said. ‘We loved it and its such a beautiful part of Australia that we have had the opportunity to see. Frank and his crew have been great and very welcoming. We-ve learnt a lot from them, although our didgeridoo playing leaves a bit to be desired I-m afraid.-

Northern NSW Football would like to thank Frank Future and the team on board ‘Imagine- cruises Port Stephens for their hospitality in hosting Sanna, Rebecca and Libby.
