In one of the clubs busiest weeks since inception, the Newcastle Jets has just registered a record number of new family season members with more than 3,000 new members signing up. The announcement of $100 season family memberships has taken off since being launched last Friday. It now gained further momentum with yesterday’s announcement confirming LA Galaxy’s visit to EnergyAustralia Stadium on Saturday 27th November.
Due to the amazing response, the Newcastle Jets has been forced to open the upper Eastern Stand for the first time this season when the club hosts the North Queensland Fury on Wednesday 27th October at 7.30pm. This match will then followed by the match against the Melbourne Heart on Sunday 31st October in what has been earmarked as a Community Day.
Newcastle Jets membership and commercial director, Richard Fisk stated;
“We have been overwhelmed by the response and the most pleasing aspect is the large number of families who can now enjoy football at the elite level. We want to make it clear to the community that the Newcastle Jets is a family experience and that we are a community club”.
“I have no doubt that the excitement surrounding the LA Galaxy match has generated additional interest but we also believe that the public response is a strong indication that the public has embraced our strategy. It is clear everybody can see that our strategic direction is in the best interests of the community and the long term well being of football in this region”.
The Newcastle Jets offer is a $100 reserved seating allocation for 2 adults and 2 children to all Newcastle Jet’s home games for the 2010-11 season commencing with the Newcastle Jets next home fixture against North Queensland Fury on Wednesday 27th October at 7.30pm.
All ticketed members and family reserved season seat members will be provided with a priority window to purchase tickets to the LA Galaxy game on Saturday 27th November.
