Aurizon recognize junior football volunteers in the Hunter

Gaye McCauley from Bishop Tyrell Anglican College has been announced as the Aurizon Junior Football Volunteer of the Year.

The Aurizon Junior Football Volunteer of the Year has been announced for 2013 at the Newcastle Jets first home game of the season against the Perth Glory on Sunday 20th October.

Gaye McCauley from Bishop Tyrell Anglican College Junior Football Club was the recipient of this year-s award for her enormous contribution to the club over many years of volunteering. Gaye selection was solidified by two separate nominations for the award for great service to the Club in an administrative capacity.

The event hosted all eight finalists for the award following a significant number of nominations for the 2013 recognition program. The program acknowledges every nominee by providing tickets to an A-League fixture and a complimentary Volunteer T-Shirt courtesy of Aurizon.

The program recognizes the invaluable contribution volunteers make to junior football clubs throughout the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region and is part of Aurizon-s commitment to give back to the communities in which it operates and where its employees live.

Aurizon Volunteer of the Year finalists receive a cash prize, Jets memberships and merchandise as part of their selection. Aurizon were also pleased to present Bishop Tyrell Anglican College Junior Football Club with a cheque for $1000 as a part of Gaye-s selection as the overall winner.

Aurizon would like to thank every volunteer for their commitment to junior Football in the Hunter and congratulates Gaye McCauley on her award.

The Volunteer Program will again be held in 2014.
