The Newcastle Jets are excited to announce the signing of Japanese Winger Kota Mizunuma for the remainder of the 2024/25 season with an option to extend for 2025/26.
The 34-year-old joins the Club from Yokohama F. Marinos in the J-League where he made 121 appearances, scoring 13 goals.
Mizunuma also played for J-League sides Sagan Tosu, FC Tokyo and Cerezo Osaka.
Mizunuma has also played for the Japanese National team, playing two times for the ‘Samurai Blue’.
Mizunuma has had success where he has played, winning the J-League Cup and Emperor’s Cup with Cerezo Osaka in 2017 as well as winning the J-League with Yokohama F. Marinos in 2022 whilst being named in the J-League Best XI for that season.
Mizunuma is excited to arrive into Newcastle and get to work.
